If you are some kind of a database wizard, all of your data is in the same database on the same server. Most of us aren't IT wizards. So sometimes, the data is not in database format or resides on a different server. SQL Servers are flexible enough to offer a number of ways to get the data you need. The easiest method is to directly link to the data via a linked server.
Linked server sub-module gives you the possibility to link remote server from local network or other cloud and to use database objects and data from it. This means that users can build n-aos cloud interface over the database placed on linked server or even over heterogeneous data from n-aos Cloud and linked database.
Before using this procedure, settings for network protocol and visibility must be done on remote server. Prerequisites for using linked server are sufficient internet bandwidth and the same log-in, password and user permissions on cloud and remote database, means that user can access data from both databases under same log-in context.
