The number of cloud users increses every year and it's not going to stop any time soon. Most of users use it as a personal cloud and of course as a tool for business. But, what we all have in mind is: how secure is the data? Here are a few tips on how to improve security of business data.
Don't mess up your password
It's widely known that that your password can be cracked within seconds, especially if you are using a password composed of your initials and a few numbers, like JD123456. If you want a strong password it needs to be long, minimum of 12 characters. Use a mix of different types of characters and try to avoid using obvious dictionary words.
Encryption
Encryption is, by far, the best way to protect your data. Ecryption works as follows: You have a file you want to move to the cloud, you use a certain software with which you create a password for that file, you move that password protected file to the cloud and no one is able to see the content of the file not knowing the password.
Avoid storing sensitive information on the cloud
If you have a choice you should opt for keeping your crucial information away from virtual world or use appropriate solutions like encryption.
